What is Retatrutide?
Retatrutide is a synthetic peptide — a short chain of amino acids — designed to interact with three metabolic receptors at the same time. Because it engages three targets rather than one, researchers describe it as a triple agonist.
To picture it simply: your body uses hormone signals to decide when you feel full, how it handles sugar in the blood, and how much energy it burns. Retatrutide was designed to speak to three of those signals at once, instead of just one. That is why it has drawn so much attention in metabolic science.
It remains investigational. Retatrutide has not been granted a licence by the MHRA in the UK or by other major regulators, which means it cannot legally be sold or supplied as a medicine. Material available from suppliers, including RETA MED UK, is research-grade and intended for laboratory work only.
Mechanism
Three receptors, one molecule.
Glucagon-like peptide-1
Associated with slowed gastric emptying, satiety signalling and glucose-dependent insulin release. This is the pathway most familiar from earlier weight-management research.
Glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide
Works alongside GLP-1 on insulin response and appears to influence how fat tissue handles nutrients. Engaging both is the basis of dual-agonist research.
Glucagon receptor
Linked to energy expenditure and hepatic fat metabolism. Adding this third target is what distinguishes Retatrutide from dual agonists.
The wider family
Where Retatrutide sitsamong peptides.
Metabolic peptides are usually grouped by how many receptors they engage. That single distinction explains most of the difference between them — and why Retatrutide is the one compound we supply.
Purchase HereSingle agonists
Engage the GLP-1 receptor alone. The longest-published group in metabolic signalling research.
Dual agonists
Engage GLP-1 and GIP receptors together, broadening the signalling studied in a single molecule.
Triple agonists
Retatrutide sits here: GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors engaged at once. Investigational and in late-stage clinical trials.
The presentation
Supplied as a 40mgmulti-dose pen.
Our Retatrutide is supplied pre-filled in a sealed multi-dose pen rather than as a lyophilised vial. Nothing has to be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, drawn into a syringe or calculated — the compound arrives in solution, ready for a measured increment to be dialled.
The 40mg figure describes the total content of the pen, not a single dose. The dial supports measured increments from 2.5mg up to 10mg, so one pen can cover an entire stepped progression — 2.5mg, then 5mg, then 7.5mg, then 10mg — without reordering. Multiple sterile single-use needle tips and alcohol wipes are included in every box.

Refrigerated — required once the pen is opened
Storage & handling
Unopened pens are stored refrigerated at 2–8 °C. Once a pen has been opened or first used it must be kept in the fridge at 2–8 °C at all times. Do not freeze, keep the cap on, keep it out of direct light, and never store the pen with a needle attached. Pens ship with a cold pack on tracked UK delivery.

Considering treatment for weight management?
Licensed weight-management medicines are available in the UK through a registered prescriber. Speak to your GP or a regulated clinic. Research peptides sold on this site are not a substitute for medical care and must not be consumed.
